Events. The remains of English war poet Isaac Rosenberg, killed in World War I at the age of 28 and originally buried in a mass grave, are re-interred at Bailleul Road East Cemetery, Plot V, St. Laurent-Blangy, Pas de Calais, France.; Poetry Bookshop in Bloomsbury, London, closes. First published in 'Collected Poems ' in by Jonathan Cape. Never published in an individual collection. The bust of Davies by Jacob Epstein was one of Davies most treasured possessions. Louise, a French woman who lived with Davies for a while was the woman who kissed the bust each morning while he was away on a 'tramp' through England.

Footnotes 'THE DECEASED WAS A POET AND AUTHOR'. W.H. Davies had, famously, begun his career as a tramp in North America – as described in his Autobiography of a Super-Tramp-- in the course of which losing most of his right turned poet in on his return to England, one of his earliest supporters being Haines's future friend Edward Thomas who, he acknowledged, 'gave me a fine boom.
